Christopher Bernhard Timmermann Slater (PhD) obtained a BSc in Psychology in Santiago, Chile and an MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Bologna in Italy. He is based at Imperial College London at the Centre for Psychedelic Research, where he led some of the first neuroimaging research on the effects of the psychedelics in the human brain and consciousness, as well as their potential clinical applications.
His work focuses on the neuroscience, psychology, beliefs and ethics of the psychedelics, meditation and non-ordinary states of consciousness.
He is also the president of the Foundation for the Study of Human Consciousness (EcoH) in Chile.
